Tournament Mechanics & Rules

– Score = ‘credits’ displayed on slot machine at the end of the heat
– Winner = persons with highest score obtained per day
– Session = start at 11h00 until everyone who registered between 10h00 and 22h00 have had a chance to play.
– Heats = 5 minute heats per session
– Semi-Finalists = the persons who holds the 60 highest scores on the overall leader board; as well as the 12 finalists selected at the Golden Ticket draws will go into the semi-final rounds starting at 17h45 on 25 March

GENERAL RULES:

1. Any person who is under the age of 18 or who has been refused entry to the casino or who is self-excluded, prior to or during the tournament, is prohibited from gambling and/or participating in the tournament and will be disqualified, where applicable
2. This promotional competition is closed to any persons who are directors, members, partners, employees, agents, or consultants of or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the company or marketing service providers or spouse, life partners, business partners or immediate family members.
3. Where the draw tales place, such promotional draws will follow standard draw and proxy rules. Draw ticket/entries cannot be purchased for CASH, points or through any other form of consideration

Tournament

4. Tournament will be open to Rewards members and non-rewards members
5. Dedicated Tournament machines will be used for the tournament, next to the Cash Desk
6. Each person that qualified through the methods mentioned above get a 5-minute *heat to play on the tournament machines
7. By participating in the tournament heats, players agree that they acknowledge the rules of this promotion; that they will ensure Emnotweni has their correct contact detail, and that they will be available for the finalist rounds on 25 March 2023
8. Registration on tournament days from 10h00 – 22h00; heats from 11h00 to 23h00
9. EARLY BIRD offer exclusive to Black cardholders: register and pre-book from 08h00 to 10h00 on tournament days

10. Entries:

10.1 Buy-in will take place at the Cash Desk
10.2 R50 cash buy-in per entry.
10.3 Rewards cardholders will receive 1 x free entry per week. Valid for the week only
10.4 Buy-ins maximum of 8 per player per day – participant may only have one seat during any particular heat
11. Heats will commence immediately after the previous heat ends (allowing for an approximate 3 minutes between heats to change over)
12. The machines are pre-loaded with equal amount of credits; with each machine starting from 0 points

13. *Scores achieved will be displayed on a leader board at the tournament area

13.1 On GOLDEN DAY sessions on 18 Feb, 25 Feb, 1 Mar, 15 & 16 Mar, 24 Mar 2023 the person with the DAILY highest score will be awarded R10,000 cash prizes
13.2 Winners who are not present by the end of each of the GOLDEN Day’s day’s heats will be contacted and will have 15 days to collect his/her prize once notified
14. To qualify as finalist to the Semi Final sessions on Sat, 25 March 2023:
14.1 The persons who holds the 60 highest scores on the overall leader board will go into the semi-final
14.2 Qualifiers who are not present by the end of the heats on 24 March will be contacted morning of 25 March informed of their position
14.3 Semi-rounds starting at 17h45 on 25 March 2023

15. GOLDEN-SPOT finalist:

15.1 Twelve (12) more Spots for the Semi-Finals will be selected by means of draws on 25 March
15.2 A person can win a maximum of 2 seats in total for the GOLDEN-SPOT draws
15.3 Six entries will be selected from the participants’ entry box first by means of a manual draw. If a ticket owner is not present; the space will be given to the REWARDS draw. Rest of the GOLDEN-SPOT seats will thus be made up from Rewards members’ draw
16. Finals – 25 March 2023
16.1 Finals will be played after 6 high scorers from semi-finals have been announced
16.2 6 top scorers from semi-finals will play in the final
16.3 1 heat will be played (all 6 players)
16.4 Semi-finalists will randomly draw heat and seat numbers (highest score achieved in semi-final will draw first, lowest score draws last)
16.5 All slots machines to start on 0 credits
16.6 Heat duration – 5 minutes
16.7 Highest scorer in the final will win the first prize of the car plus 50% of all proceeds from Buy-Ins
16.8 Position 2 to 6 will each receive 10% from buy-in value
16.9 Should a qualifier nor his/her proxy not be present at the start of the tournament at 17h45, he/she may forfeit their place in the finals; as their heat/seat number will then be selected by a casino representative
16.10 Proxy rules in terms of prize money remain as per proxy documentation completed
17. It will be the participant’s responsibility to have Proxy players available
A player may hold more than one position in the Semi or Finalist rounds, but will have to make his/her own arrangements for proxy players to represent them
19. Players shall not be substituted during heats without the relevant proxy nomination form completed.
20. Players’ “credits” shall not be pooled with or transferred to other players’ credits. These credits are for tournament purposes only and will be used to determine player ranking. Specifically the credits concerned do not have any actual monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash or anything of value
21. In the event of a tie credit score when determining winners on the leader board, the two tied score players will have to battle it out for 5 minute on the slots machines to determine positions (if 2nd and 3rd are tiered it means they will play against each other for position 2 and 3, one with the highest score will play against each other). Should a contestant not be present in case of a tie, his/her original score will be used as ‘final’ score. Should NO player be present, advertised prizes for the contested positions will be split equally between these players.
22. In the event of a malfunction of a slot machine during any qualifying heat, the affected players will be given opportunity at the end of the session, or at the first available seat in a future similar heat if possible.
23. In the event that the tournament system (where applicable) experiences any technical difficulties, the entire heat will be restarted. If the afore-mentioned technical difficulties are not resolved within a reasonable period then the relevant heat will be postponed
24. The Tournament Director and/or MC will announce the start of each heat.
25. It is the players’ responsibility to be at the tournament area at the right time. Players who are not present when the heat in a session starts may forfeit their seats and may be asked to register for a future heat within the given validity of the entry ticket. Should a player / finalist not be available to play in his/her allocated session, he/she may be disqualified should no alternative session be available.
26. Decisions made by the Tournament Director shall be deemed final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into
